Amy Speace is an American singer-songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, who is a former Shakespearean actress notable for her critically acclaimed music.[1][2] National Public Radio described her voice as "velvety and achy" and compared her to Lucinda Williams.[2] The singer was based in Jersey City, N.J. but has moved to Nashville, Tennessee.[3][4] Her music is receiving positive critical attention.[5][6] Speace's song, "Weight Of The World", has been covered by singer Judy Collins on her 2010 album "Paradise".[7] Her albums are entitled Land Like A Bird, Into The New (EP), The Killer In Me, Songs for Bright Street, and Fable.[8]
